Dear Readers,

I was thinking of embedding the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey into this page, too, but, you know, some could see that as overkill....

BUT LOOK ON THE MAIN PAGE! GAMECOLA BLOG HAS BEEN LAUNCHED! O_O1

Hot damn. THAT is exactly what I've been alluding to over the past few months.

What is GameCola Blog, you ask?2  See, here's the thing. I have a psych degree, so I can say, with authority, that I know you. At best, you visit GameCola once a month. You read the latest issue, posting comments and rating every article you read, and then you're finished, because there's no incentive for you to visit again that month. And if you do visit again too soon, maybe you become frustrated that there's still no fresh 'Cola.3

Well now I'm going to relieve your frustrations, and I mean that in every way imaginable.

These month-long breaks are no more; we're now going to have frequent updates in the form of blog posts on our main page.  In between 'Colas, you're gonna:

  • READ news posts about what's up in gaming!

  • FIND OUT what videogames are coming out soon!

  • SEE industry rants penned by your favorite GC writers!

  • CLICK links to videogame-related things that we'd like to share!

  • ALSO CLICK links to things your favorite GC writers have put together!4

You might even see teasers for upcoming issues of GameCola, or any new letters or artwork our fans have sent us. You're gonna get more bang for your buck, and since you haven't given us a buck to begin with...that is a whole lot of bang.

So that's it. Your cliff-dangle is over. We're giving you a reason to check us out more than once a month. Hopefully, now you won't forget about us5 over those drawn-out stretches of time we have to endure in-between issues.

But believe it or not, GC Blog isn't all that we've got going on this month. Why, lookie here: We've even got a spanking-new issue for you! Who'd have thought. Just look at all these bullet points of interest in this month's edition6:

Generic line that says "enjoy the issue!"

Love,

1. Fact: The bigger the font, the better the message.

2. Thanks for asking, by the way; it really made the segue a lot easier.

3. One could say—prepare for a good one!—that the 'Cola is flat.

4. Some may call them "cheap plugs," but here we call them "things your favorite GC writers have put together."

5. :( please don't forget about us....

6. Is this allowed? I already have one set of bullet points in this article.
